SILVER FILIGREE BEDSIDE TABLE WITH SMALL PAINTING DEPICTING SAINT ROSALIE

Important bedside table made entirely of Silver filigree from the late 17th century early 18th century. Elegant the composition of the Silver filigree, which features plant motifs and floral motifs, with a workmanship, precise and detailed, where the great skill of the Sicilian silversmith masters is highlighted. In its inner part, enclosed in an oval, small oil painting on canvas glued on a rigid support depicting Santa Rosalia, school of Pietro Paolo Vasta, circumscribed all round with applications of microbeads in red coral from Trapani. The high period object is still in original patina and perhaps some minor retouching may have been done on the oil painting, ultimately the condition is excellent and it is a rare and valuable antique piece.
