Large planter made entirely of gilt bronze of French provenance from the Charles X period. It presents central oval-shaped bowl with all-decorated rim, and lower part of the bowl all pierced and decorated in the form of arches and palmettes, with inside its flower basket made of copper and gilded. On either side, kneeling, we find two large winged putti supporting the cup and the large handles of the socket, shaped like acanthus leaves. Lower part of the planter with base of elongated octagonal shape with outer rim all decorated. The whole supported by four worked feet. Given the quality of its making, we can say that it is a valuable and hard-to-find object, especially, in gilded bronze, very few of them can be found, and objects such as these are often attributed to important French bronze artists of the period such as JEAN-BAPTISTE-CLAUDE CARLO X ERA " 1824-1830" DIMENSIONS L. cm 40 x D. cm 24 x H. cm 27 CONDITION Very good state of preservation " slight wear and tear of time "
