Description and details
Large gilt wood frame of Sicilian provenance from the late 18th-century early 19th-century period, made with the silver and mixture technique. It features a half-barrel line with an inner border all decorated in low relief in the form of small acanthus leaves, and an outer border also worked in low relief and again in the pattern of larger acanthus leaves. The frame is all original as is its gilding , as the photo shows that it has never been restored and has a few small shortcomings , which given the era is obvious, but does not require major restoration work, which we can perform in our restoration workshop upon request. EPOCA Late 18th century early 19th century. DIMENSIONS L. cm 128 x H. cm 101 interior space L. cm 108.5 x H. cm 88 CONDITION Very good state of preservation
