The forms emerge from a compact pictorial layering, articulated in textural passages that highlight the contrasts between the shaded and illuminated areas. The base of the composition is occupied by a rocky plateau rendered through ochre and brown tones, with modeling achieved through overlapping brushstrokes. The peaks develop upward and are treated with a range of browns and yellows, while the uniform, clear sky frames the vertical structure of the mountain range.
