Elegant Baroque pendant of oil paintings on canvas. The two works develop a refined allegorical dialogue typical of 17th-century figurative culture, in which symbolism and genre elements coexist. The first painting depicts an allegorical scene with animals set in a landscape in which the dog, juxtaposed with a piece of meat, alludes to themes of the senses, evoking the dimension of instinct, appetite and tension between conflicting impulses.
