Description and details
Pair of putti in gilded wood, Venice Age: late 17th century Elegant pair of Venetian putti carved in lacquered and gilded wood, datable to the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The figures, finely modeled and full of movement, express a lively and typically Baroque grace, with dynamic poses and sweet, intense faces. The gilding and lacquering are entirely original, as is every structural part: the work is in excellent condition, free of breaks or reintegrations, preserving its authenticity intact. The warm luminosity of the original gold enhances the volumes and gives great refinement to the whole. A decorative pair of great charm and quality, ideal for classical settings but also capable of dialoguing elegantly in more contemporary contexts. Cod: 387Additional information: The work is available in our exhibition space in Badia Polesine (RO) and is sold accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
