These objects are a pair of processional lanterns (or lanterns), of Tuscan origin and dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. They were traditionally used during religious ceremonies, supported by long wooden or metal shafts, and could hold candles or small oil lamps. Materials: They are typically made of tolla (sheet metal) or wrought iron, decorated with gilded and lacquered metal elements. Style: They feature rich decoration with plant motifs, leaf volutes and are topped with small pinnacles . The central structure is polygonal, with glass to protect the flame.
