Description and details

Antique Ligurian cabinet from the late 18th century made of walnut and chestnut. The cabinet presents a sober and balanced line, typical of late 18th-century Ligurian production. The façade is made of walnut, while chestnut is visible on the sides, according to a traditional construction very common in Ligurian cabinetmaking of the period, where different essences were used between the structure and more visible parts. The upper frame is slightly projecting and gives the cabinet an elegant proportion. The interior offers a capacious compartment originally intended for the storage of linens or household items. The surface of the wood retains a beautiful natural patina, matured over time, which testifies to the authenticity and antiquity of the furniture.Period furniture, solid and in good overall condition.Period: late 18th centuryProvenance: LiguriaMaterial: walnut and chestnutDimensions:Height: cm 178.5Width at frame: cm 125Useful body width: cm 116.5Depth: cm 52
