This object is a fourteen-light crystal chandelier, an exceptional antique piece of French origin, dating from approximately the 1930s or 1940s. Style and Origin: It is an example of fine French craftsmanship, often associated with the style or "manner of" Baccarat because of the complexity of the crystal workmanship and formal elegance. Structure: The chandelier features a central baluster column of carved crystal and fourteen arms that support the lights, which are arranged on several levels to create a dramatic effect. Decorative details: It is richly ornamented with finely crafted crystal pendants and bobèche (drip saucers) that reflect light brilliantly. Cleaned and rewired, fully functional and ready to use. In excellent vintage condition. The crystals, all original and in good condition, have no chips or cracks.
