Description and details
An imposing and extremely rare throne or ceremonial armchair, carved and gilded in wood, featuring Baroque elements. It stands out for its magnificent 170-cm-high backrest and red damask upholstery. Dating from the second half of the 19th century and crafted in the Neo-Baroque style, the upper part of the backrest features a central female face carved in relief, surrounded by floral garlands and hand-carved gilded details. The wide, curved armrests are decorated with openwork and terminate in pronounced volutes that curve outward. The seat rests on cabriole legs joined at the center by a striking decorative X-shaped crossbar. Dimensions: H 170 cm, W 92 cm, D 85 cm. Excellent condition; ready for immediate installation.
