Byzantine gold pendant featuring four bezoars, believed to be magical antidotes to poisons. The pure gold setting features half-moon-shaped and inverted heart-shaped glass pastes on the front, flanked by two small rubies. Four hanging bezoars are mounted on pins as if they were pearls. An object of great esoteric charm in absolutely exceptional condition. At the top is a cylindrical loop for attaching a cord or chain. The proposed date ranges from the 8th to the 10th century. A museum-quality piece of jewelry, exceptional in both preservation and craftsmanship.
