Description and details
Baroque armchair in gilded wood - late 17th century Dimensions: width 80 cm, depth 70 cm, height 120 cm, seat height 40 cm. Elegant giltwood armchair from the late 17th century, an expression of Baroque taste. The frame is finely carved with rich motifs of scrolls, foliage and shells, typical of Roman production of the time. The high, shaped back, together with the wavy armrests and wide seat, combines decorative importance and comfort. The upholstery is new, respecting the historic character of the artifact. With a strong stage presence, this armchair was conceived as a representative piece of furniture for aristocratic settings, and today it is perfectly suited as a centerpiece in classical interiors or as a contrasting element in more contemporary settings.
