RARE BAROQUE PEWTER CANDLESTICK LUIGI XIV PERIOD , XVIII CENTURY. VENETIAN MANUFACTURE. Measures 53 x 15 cm. Structure and decoration: Features a triangular base supported by "lion's paw" feet. The base is decorated with foliate volutes and medallions. The stem is molded with a pyriform knot and plant decorations. The top has a central ferrule for securing the candle. Period and origin: Objects with features similar to the one in the photo have been attributed to 18th-century Tuscan and Venetian workshops. Other examples traceable to a later period, such as the 19th century, come from workshops in Campania or Lazio.
