Also recascribed on the upper left side Analysis of the Work The work has several characteristics typical of Italian sacred painting between the 17th ,identifiable with Roman school- Style and Origin: Paintings with these characteristics (use of chiaroscuro, voluminous drapery and pose of the figure) are often attributed to the Italian school ,to be precise the Roman school of the 17th century. Composition: The figure is depicted in a half-length pose, looking towards the viewer or slightly to the side, dressed in warm-colored clothing and classical drapery.
