Beautiful navy oil on canvas by painter LIDO BETTARINI ( 1927-2019 ) Dated and signed 1976 - on the back signature and date - With silvered wooden frame- measures canvas 70x50 cm Son of ceramist Gino, after working in Gino Pozzi's workshop, he attended the Academy under Giorgio Settala and Ottone Rosai, graduating in 1960. Since the previous year he had begun his personal exhibition activity, at the Officine Galileo in Florence, a space he reused in 1960 with an exhibition with his master Ottone Rosai as well as Silvio Loffredo, Renzo Grazzini, and Bruno Rosai. His first catalog dates from 1964. Among his most important engagements was the creation of the official portrait of John Paul II in 1986. He has enjoyed wide critical interest.
