An elegant 19th-century dining table from central Italy, crafted from solid walnut with refined polychrome inlays of maple, walnut, and ebony. The round tabletop, of considerable thickness, features a refined decorative band with geometric motifs running along its entire perimeter, while the center is embellished with a masterfully crafted inlaid figure depicting Saint George. The structure is supported by a substantial turned central shaft, resting on three sturdy carved and shaped legs, typical of the artisanal production of central Italy in the early decades of the 19th century. The original patina and subtle signs of age lend the piece an authentic character and great charm.
