Description and details

Refined small Chinese cabinet dating from the mid-19th century, made of solid wood and finely hand-carved. This piece of furniture combines functionality with aesthetic refinement, perfectly representing the Chinese cabinet-making art of the 19th century. The surfaces are embellished with panels carved with floral and naturalistic motifs, symbols of prosperity and harmony in Eastern tradition. Each door features detailed scenes that give the cabinet a strong decorative connotation as well as historical value. The structure is developed with two central drawers and four doors, equipped with finely crafted original brass hardware that is still fully functional today. The base is carved with a sinuous scroll motif, which lends elegance and lightness to the compact form of the cabinet. Due to its small size, this cabinet lends itself to enriching both classical settings and modern spaces, as a contrasting piece or as a refined furnishing accessory. The warm patina of the wood testifies to authenticity and the passage of time, making each detail unique and unrepeatable.
