Description and details
The monstrance rests on a circular base molded by throat and torus, flounce with schematic phytomorphic motif executed by casting, gilded and applied, and small decoration of stylized leaflets; the stem, figured, shows a putto who, with raised arms, holds the receptacle. This consists of a circular theca included within a frame decorated with the crown of thorns motif, surrounded by bunches of grapes, golden ears of wheat, and, at the top, two crown-holding angels.
