Paved and inlaid beanstalk coffee table - 18th century
Description and details
Refined original 18th-century coffee table, characterized by the elegant bean shape, typical of the late Baroque and pre-neoclassical taste. The top, finely panelled in fine woods, has a rich natural grain framed by a delicate perimeter inlay, which enhances its contoured profile and testifies to the high quality of cabinet making of the period. The choice of woods and the precision of the inlay give the top a refined chromatic and formal balance. The structure rests on a central support with shaped uprights, embellished with carved elements and connected by crosspieces, which give momentum and elegance to the whole, while maintaining solidity and proportion. The coffee table is in good condition, with patina and slight signs of time compatible with its age, confirming its authenticity. An object of great charm and decorative value, ideal as a center or side table, perfect for period settings or refined interiors where the finesse of eighteenth-century craftsmanship can be appreciated.
