Description and details

An important ceremonial console table made between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, crafted from finely carved wood and gilded with gold leaf. The piece stands out for its elegant and dynamic lines, inspired by the 18th-century Italian Rococo style. The large, sculpted legs support a wavy band decorated with refined floral motifs and an elegant engraved latticework pattern. The lower crossbar, richly openwork and carved with volutes and foliage, lends the piece a sense of lightness and remarkable decorative impact. The gilding, still luminous and well-preserved, highlights the quality of the carving and the richness of the ornamental details. The contoured top in veined gray marble harmoniously complements the piece, lending it further elegance. Thanks to its generous proportions and striking presence, this console table is ideally suited for entryways, living rooms, hallways, or formal reception areas. In good overall condition with normal signs of age and use. Dimensions: Width: 130 cm; Depth: 63 cm; Height: 101 cm. Period: late 19th – early 20th century. Material: carved and gilded wood, veined gray marble.
