Description and details
An interesting set of three ceramic bottles by Bruno Gambone, characterized by a refined geometric composition and a distinctly sculptural style. The three pieces feature a square-shaped body, topped by a long, tapered neck with a small flared opening. The surface plays on the stark contrast between the matte black of the upper part and the natural light tone of the ceramic in the lower part, with a deliberately irregular dividing line that highlights the handcrafted nature of the piece. The varying heights allow the three bottles, when grouped together, to create a particularly balanced and decorative composition, representative of Bruno Gambone’s exploration of the purity of form, material, and chromatic simplicity. All three are signed on the base. Dimensions: large bottle: H 38.5 × 14 cm; medium bottle: H 29 × 14 cm; small bottle: H 17 × 14 cm. Italy, second half of the 20th century.
